This popular Nokia smartphone has got latest Android 10 update - Times of India

HMD Global has started rolling out the latest Android update to its popular budget smartphone — Nokia 6.1 Plus — from 2018. The device was launched in August 2018 at Rs 15,999.
This was confirmed by Nokia Mobile’s official Twitter account today. "Nokia 6.1 Plus users, you ready? Your phone’s are now running on the latest Android 10 update . Tap into your smartphone’s upgraded experience and access the latest features today," read the tweet.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus has got the Android 10 operating system update along with December 2019 Android security patch. As part of the Android 10 OS, the Nokia 6.1 Plus has got features like gesture navigation, smart reply and dark mode.
The Android 10 OS update is an over-the-air (OTA) update and is expected to reach users in batches. Nokia 6.1 Plus users can check the update by under Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for update regularly.
As per the screenshots shared by the users of Nokia 6.1 Plus, the update version number is v4.10C. The size of the update from the screenshots can seen as 1302.7MB.
Just when Google announced the official name for its Android 10 operating system in August 2019, HMD Global sent a formal timeline of which of its handsets are set to get the Android 10 operating system update. As part of the roadmap, the first three Nokia-branded smartphones that got Android 10 update were Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 7.1. This was said to be followed by Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 7 Plus.
In Q1 2020, seven Nokia handsets will get the software update. Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco are scheduled to get Android 10 update. Lastly, in Q2 2020, four Nokia smartphones— Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 1 — will get the update.
