Xiaomi has revealed that MIUI 12 V12.0.6.0.QJGMIXM for the Global variant of the POCO X3 NFC is now being rolled out to randomly chosen users as a beta stable update. The changelog mentions increased system security, various operating optimizations, and the security patch for November. A wider public rollout will commence once the beta phase is completed.
Officially, the update is only available to select users to test as it is a beta build; however, there are sources available for those who want to manually download the MIUI 12 update for the POCO X3 NFC and test it out for themselves. A recovery ROM can be installed that weighs in at 2.4 GB. Owners should make sure they have the “surya” device (codename for the POCO X3 NFC).
It seems it won’t be too long before the POCO X3 NFC is fully upgraded to Android 11, as a model was spotted being tested on Geekbench recently utilizing the latest operating system from Google. It has been speculated that this major update will occur sometime in early 2021 for all regional variants of the impressive midrange POCO smartphone.
