The Vivo X70 Pro+ is going on sale in India today for the first time. The premium smartphone from the house of Vivo packs enough features like ZEISS optics, Gimbal setup, a new V1 imaging chip and packs the Snapdragon 888+ processor. All of that makes the X70 Pro+ an excellent package.
We have already reviewed the X70 Pro+, and you can read our review here. But this is also a long read. So, if you want some key takeaways, the X70 Pro+ offers top-notch performance, packs a gorgeous display, features IP68 certification for dustproof and waterproof resistance, and also houses a 4500mAh battery with support for 50W wireless charging. The design is even a premium one with an excellent level of attention to detail. The cameras are the biggest USP of the X70 Pro+, which you can rely on in any lighting condition.
Here's a quick recap of the Vivo X70 Pro+ review in five points that will be handy for you if you are short on time.
Point 1: The cameras are the biggest highlight of the Vivo X70 Pro+ smartphone, and it packs a quad-camera setup at the back. It features a primary 50-megapixel camera with an ultra-sensing GN1 sensor and OIS. There's the 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera with gimbal setup alongside a 12-megapixel portrait camera, and lastly, an 8-megapixel Periscope camera with 5x optical zoom. At the front, there's a 32-megapixel camera. Talking in terms of pure quality, the X70 Pro+ impresses with results across various lighting conditions. The ZEISS tuned cameras offer an excellent amount of detail, and the images retain natural colours. We loved the ultra-wide cameras on the X70 Pro+ that click fantastic quality pictures. There are some ZEISS features like ZEISS Style Portrait and ZEISS T* Coating that enhance pictures. The X70 Pro+ also comes with the Pro Cinematic mode feature that can help you improve your videos. The selfies on the X70 Pro+ are also clear and better than what we have seen on some premium Android smartphones.
Point 2: It's not just the cameras that make the X70 Pro+ a flagship offering, but also the under the hood prowess. The Vivo X70 Pro+ is the first smartphone in the country to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor. It is quick and can handle the most intense tasks without any hiccups. We had a great time playing games on the X70 Pro+. The phone also easily dealt with a bit of image editing in Lightroom without any problems. The best part is the phone doesn't get too warm to make you uncomfortable even when doing some intensive graphic tasks. We also liked the ability of the X70 Pro+ to latch on to cellular networks in areas where there is usually no network.
Point 3: Vivo hasn't left a stone unturned to make the X70 Pro+ a worthy premium smartphone, and that includes the display department. The smartphone packs a 6.78-inch WQHD (1440x3200 pixels) E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The X70 Pro+ can offer a peak brightness of 1500 nits, which is incredible and more than what the latest iPhone 13 Pro models provide. In real-world performance, the X70 Pro+ packs a bright display that's a fantastic screen for your multimedia consumption. We can comfortably say that the X70 Pro+ currently offers one of the top-notch screens.
Point 4: The Vivo X70 Pro+ is a premium smartphone, and that's quite evident by the looks of it. The curved display with attention to detail makes the phone look elegant from every angle. The Enigma Black colour looks fantastic, and the ZEISS branding camera setup hints that this one packs cameras tuned by the iconic camera maker. The satin finish at the back offers a smudge-free design and a comfortable in-hand feel. Everything about the design is remarkable except the size of it. At a 6.78-inch screen, the Vivo X70 Pro+ isn't an easy phone to use with just one hand. In fact, we can comfortably say that it's impossible to a certain extent, especially when you get the camera use in focus. Right from taking or making calls to using cameras to reaching out for notifications at the top of the screen, we struggled to do it with one hand and used both hands. The excellent design is slightly marred by an impractical size.
Point 5: Almost every aspect of the Vivo X70 Pro+ is fantastic. The cameras set the benchmark for other premium Android makers, the display is top-notch, and the performance is exemplary. The battery life is decent, but it isn't something that blew us away. But, the fact remains that the Vivo X70 Pro+ is an expensive smartphone at Rs 79,990. At this price point, it has very few rivals, like the iPhone 13. If you have the budget, then the Vivo X70 Pro+ is the perfect smartphone you deserve.
