For this special toned-down version of Android operating system, Google also has supporting toned-down apps and the latest addition to that is the new Camera Go app. This app has just been launched, will first be available on Nokia's entry-level handset — Nokia 1.3 — launched yesterday. It is expected to reach other Android Go handsets soon.
Google says that the Camera Go app comes with the promise of no hassle in terms of both speed and storage. It even comes with support for Portrait Mode and lets its users track how much photos and video storage space is left on their device and then they can accordingly clear up space.
“It’s built for people using smartphones for the first time, so it has a clean and simple interface,” said Google.
As mentioned, HMD Global’s Nokia 1.3 is the first handset to come with this app. It will be available in April and has been priced at EUR 95 (approximately Rs 7,600). In terms of specs, it offers a single back camera of 8MP resolution and a 5MP front-facing snapper. It offers a 5.71-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Powered by the Qualcomm QM215 processor, it comes in a single storage variant of 1GB+16GB and a microSD card of up to 400GB. Backed by a 3000mAh removable battery, the Nokia 1.3 runs on Android 10 (Go edition) and comes in three colour options — Cyan, Charcoal, Sand.
