If you’ve been holding off for a great deal in order to upgrade your smartphone, now’s a great time. Amazon Prime Day has arrived, and with it comes deals on everything under the sun. The smorgasbord for deals includes discounts on smartphones from the likes of Samsung, Google, OnePlus and more. A great many of these are unlocked smartphone deals, so you can avoid the hassle of needing to trade-in a device or commit to a long-term carrier contract just to get the discount.
To help you find the best smartphone deals for Amazon Prime Day, we’re rounding them all up in one spot here. (Though we’ll also be on the lookout for limited-time Lightning deals.) If you’re not finding the phone you want on Amazon, not all hope is lost — other retailers have their sales to coincide with the Prime Day shopping, so you might be able to find that deal from alternative retailers’ sales.
Prime Day Galaxy phone deals
Samsung’s fun flip phone is about to see its first birthday, so a $200 discount is only fitting. The phone only trades off a little of the capability of the Galaxy S23, but what you get is a phone that folds in half to fit places the S23 never could. With a small external display, you can quickly check notifications or take your selfie game to another level.
Samsung’s Galaxy A54 borrows a lot from the flagship Galaxy S23 and packs it into a much more affordable handset. That only gets better with this $100 Prime Day discount. You’ll get a nicely sized, OLED display running at a smooth 120Hz. For a budget phone, the camera system is also impressive, offering sharp photos as well as wide-angle, macro and zoom options.
Easily one of the most capable and powerful Android phones out there, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra doesn’t come cheap. But this discount brings it just under $1,000, making its supreme display and next-level camera system that much easier to get.
Samsung’s base-level Galaxy S23 smartphone is no slouch. Between a crisp and colorful OLED display, powerful internals, and a three-camera array on the back, it’s good for entertainment, content creation and everyday use. At $600, it’s a heck of a deal.
A smartphone and a tablet in one, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a technical marvel. The $1,800 price tag was a hard pill to swallow, but Prime Day sees it get an almost unimaginable discount. It’s a great deal, though it’s worth bearing in mind that new models are expected soon, albeit without discounts.
Prime Day Pixel phone deals
What’s better than an affordable smartphone? A flagship smartphone priced like an affordable one. The Google Pixel 7 was already pretty close to hitting that mark, and this $100 discount helps it get there. At $500, it’ll be hard to find a phone that delivers a better combination of display, software and camera system. We’ve seen the Pixel 7 go as low as $450 before, so it could go lower yet for Prime Day.
If you’re looking for the cheapest Android phone possible, you can end up with a lot of junk devices. The Pixel 6a isn’t one of them. It runs on a plenty-capable chipset with some impressive AI power to boot, and it has a great design for the price. For $250, you’ll have a hard time finding a phone with better cameras, software support and water protection.
For one of the best smartphone cameras around, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is a must-see. It has all the prowess for image processing that has made Pixel phones a go-to from the beginning, but it takes things a step further with a delightful 5x telephoto sensor. Pack that all into refined design with a huge OLED display, and you’ve got a winner, especially with a $250 discount.
Prime Day Motorola phone deals
If your priorities are a quality display and great battery life, last year’s Motorola Edge is where it’s at. We probably wouldn’t recommend this phone at full price, but it’s a catch at $350. The Full HD OLED display offers up a 120HZ refresh rate that’s luxuriously smooth and could be great for cloud gaming. The 5,000mAh battery also went the distance in our testing, easily lasting a whole day of extra-heavy use.
If you’re tired of Samsung, Motorola has an exciting new phone on deck. This year’s Motorola Edge+ kind of has it all. A big, bright OLED display that curves at all four sides? Check. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for substantial performance? Check. Capable camera on front and back? Check. This model comes unlocked and ready to go with T-Mobile or Verizon on their 5G networks.
Prime Day OnePlus phone deals
You can get the flagship smartphone experience for less with the OnePlus 11. It was already an interesting value at $700, but it’s all the better at $600. With impressive cameras, an exceptional display, and plenty of performance from its Snadpragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, you won’t be left wanting for much.
Prime Day iPhone and iPad deals
OK, this isn’t a phone, but hear us out: For anyone who tends to use AirPods to make calls and prefers a really big screen, this 5G-enabled version of the iPad Mini can do the job. It offers a much bigger display than even the iPhone 14 Plus while packing the same A15 Bionic chip you’d get from that $900 phone. If you always carry a bag and aren’t concerned about sliding your phone into your pocket, this could be a viable alternative for you.
