The last decade has witnessed exceptional growth in Chinese smartphones that have become among the best smartphones in the world although they haven’t been particularly the pioneers in this field.

It was in April 1973 that the first handheld mobile phone was made by Motorola and given to the world to use. Following that and with several other mobile brands appearing on the map, the competition for the best and most popular mobile phones began. From Nokia vs. Motorola to the iPhone vs. Samsung battle, mobile phones have become an inseparable part of our lives. Therefore, it is no surprise that more and more brands are trying to make their way to the top of the smartphone pyramid. And with China being the largest mobile manufacturer worldwide, it is no news that there are many Chinese smartphones that are considered to be top notch.

So if you are looking for a smartphone swap or you are simply curious about some of the top Chinese smartphones for this year, keep reading.

Here are the top 7 Chinese Smartphones in 2021:

Compared with other smartphones, OnePlus Nord 2 does stand out for having some great features for a lesser price. While its processors cannot compete with other leading smartphones, it is still powerful enough for users to do most things like gaming and streaming. It’s solid dual rear camera and fast charging ability also makes it a good choice for those looking for a really good smartphone without spending too much money.

2. Oppo Find X3 Pro (~$1,500)

Introduced earlier this year, the Oppo Find X3 Pro seems to have some great features that can compete with not only other Chinese smartphones but leading brands like Samsung as well if it wasn’t for its high price. Not only does it have the most powerful processor in an Android device, but it also encompasses a phenomenal display, long battery life and really good camera performance, which makes the Find X3 Pro appeal to many. However, the fact that it lacks a good zoom option in its camera makes it look a little expensive for its price.

3. Realme GT (~$599 - $699)

The Realme GT is the company’s first attempt at introducing a low cost/high specs smartphone into the market, and it seems like they did a really good job at it! It is said to be one of the most affordable phones to have the Snapdragon 888 chipset, which comes to explain its super-fast speed and great performance when it comes to editing and gaming. In addition, Realme GT has a great battery life and a distinctive design that is meant to stand out. However, if you are someone who wants a smartphone with an advanced zoom photography experience or a “clean” UI then the Realme GT might not be the best option for you.

4. Xiaomi Mi 11 (~$1,040 - $1,110)

Holding the third biggest smartphone market share in 2021Q3, Xiaomi proudly comes right after Samsung and Apple when it comes to market share. It’s power horse smartphone Xiaomi Mi 11 was introduced with plenty of updates that makes it much better than its older Mi 10. The Xiaomi Mi 11 has a top-notch display, a variety of outstanding options when it comes to videos and their resolution, and a fast processor and charging speed. Even though this phone seems to have it all, it does not. The Xiaomi Mi 11 does not have that good of a battery life and users might need to turn off some of its features so that the battery lasts a day.

5. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro ($379)

Said to be the best bargain you can get for this year, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro seems to be quite the catch for its price. On the downside, this smartphone does not support 5G nor does it have video stabilization. However, it does offer some other great features. Its long battery life, big screen and high performing stereo speakers can balance the scale and make it appealing for users who don’t seem to care much about video stabilization and 5G connectivity.

6. Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro (~$320)

However what this model offers is a great catch for gamers looking for a smartphone that can handle gaming, have a long battery life and is sold at a really low price! While it is considered to be fairly heavy, it does have an impressive screen that makes it that much better for gaming.

Some even say that its images and videos can even compare with Galaxy S21 Ultra and iPhone 12 Pro! However, this one of a kind smartphone does not have a wireless charging option and its software could use some improvements.
